Ok thanks for clarification.
So as I see it options are.
1. Pay full price for Outlook 2021, which maybe end if life 2025.
2. Subscribe to outlook365 ($70 a year) with Cloud storage for personal emails or
3. Use the Outlook free app with Ads.
4. Drop MS hotmail after 25 years with ad free subscription and move to another mail server.
Thanks for taking the time to reply!

I love how your replies are actually telling us the truth. 😎
Microsoft has been gradually doing everything in its power to force longtime users to give them more money, regardless of how every computer we've bought for over 20 years was profiting them by bundling in the MS OS and other products.
Not long ago I had to help my 87 year old dad clear out a bunch of his Onedrive and Hotmail storage space, as he was understandably confused by their failure to function--MS had suddenly adopted a new policy with how it was parsing out cloud storage.
Real classy, Microsoft! I'd rant some all caps profanities at you if I didn't fear you'd find some way to further hobble any dissenters to your greedy overreaching. 😡

- kadams311Aug 02, 2024Copper ContributorJust to clarify from my own POV, as this MS Admin seems to not care that people might not be able to afford to pay--many users want to know that important or nostalgic messages from two decades ago, as saved via hotmail accounts, will always be there for them.
This user response seems to summarize things aptly. The gist is MS is telling us we can go F ourselves.
