Unable to drag and drop a PowerPoint, Excel and Word files from New Outlook to New Teams

In Old Outlook I am able to drag and drop PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Jpg to Teams, but in New Outlook I am only able to drag and drop jpg files to New Teams. See below first picture is old outlo...

Drag & drop support is slowly being rolled out now for limited scenarios. Additional drag & drop scenarios will be added later. You can suggest additional ones via Help-> Feedback-> Suggest a feature

Thank you for the link. This looks to be only from Outlook to Window and not Teams. Is that correct?

Its implementation is pretty universal. It should work with practically any field that supports droppings items onto.

  RobertSparnaaij - How can I see if the feature is implemented on our Tenant? I just tried drag and dropping to both File Explore and New Teams and the only type of file I can drop is .jpg when using New Outlook.

    Unfortunately, no.
    
    Note that these kind of features are not rolled out on a tenant basis but as a (slowly) staged rollout across users. So in case of issues, not a whole tenant would be affected either.
    
    The feature is likely to come more broadly available with support for additional files as long as they are seeing positive telemetry and feedback.
