ubf8t346g9.office - This file size is 180gb and how to reduce?
ubf8t346g9.office- This file size is 180 GB on my imac. Eventually the outlook when started goes into 'repair' and get a message that 'need 200gb of space'. Then I found that in library folder the container had this ubf8t346g9.office which was about 180 gb. How to handle this issue pls

1. Close Outlook and terminate related processes to ensure that Outlook exits completely to avoid file occupation.
Search for remaining Outlook processes in Activity Monitor and force close them.
2. Manually clean up the cached files Locate the files: Go to the path by visiting:
bash
~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Outlook/Data/Library/Caches/
or just search for ubf8t346g9.office.
Delete the file: Delete the file or the contents of the folder where it is located.
3. Use Outlook database tool to repair: Open Outlook, hold down the Option key and click Launch, select Database Utility and click Rebuild Database, confirm the operation and wait for completion.
4. Optimize mailbox storage: Clean up large attachments: Delete emails with large attachments.
Set synchronization range: In Outlook > Preferences > Accounts, limit the time range (last 12 months) of messages to be synchronized. Archive old messages: Use the File > Archive feature to move old messages to a local archive file.
5. Reconfigure Outlook Accounts: If the problem persists, delete and re-add mailbox accounts:
Go to Outlook > Preferences > Accounts and delete the current account.
Re-add the account and select a shorter timeframe when synchronizing.
6. Terminal Command Deep Cleanup: Open a terminal and run the following command to clear the cache:
bash
rm -rf ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.Outlook/Data/Library/Caches/*
