Too much spam in outlook email.
I understand that dealing with spam emails can be frustrating. What I can try to do, using the AI, is to give you some general tips that might help you reduce the amount of spam you receive:
- Enable spam filtering: Check your email settings and make sure spam filtering is enabled. Most email providers, including Outlook, have built-in spam filters that automatically detect and move spam emails to the spam or junk folder.
- Mark emails as spam: When you receive spam emails in your inbox, mark them as spam or junk. This helps train the email provider's spam filter and improves its ability to detect and filter out similar messages in the future.
- Create rules or filters: Utilize the filtering or rules feature in your email client to automatically sort incoming emails based on specific criteria. You can create rules to move emails from unknown or suspicious senders directly to the spam folder or delete them altogether.
- Be cautious with your email address: Avoid sharing your email address publicly or with unknown sources. Spammers often use automated bots to crawl websites and collect email addresses. Consider using a separate email address for online registrations or subscriptions.
- Unsubscribe responsibly: Be cautious when unsubscribing from emails. Some spammers may use "unsubscribe" links as a confirmation that your email address is active and valid. Only unsubscribe from trusted and legitimate senders.
- Avoid clicking suspicious links or downloading attachments: Exercise caution when dealing with emails from unknown senders or emails that seem suspicious. Avoid clicking on links or downloading attachments unless you are confident about their source and content.
- Regularly update your antivirus software: Ensure that your computer has updated and reliable antivirus software installed. This can help detect and prevent malicious emails from reaching your inbox.
Remember, no spam filtering system is perfect, and some spam emails may still slip through. It's important to remain vigilant and take precautions when dealing with emails from unknown or suspicious sources.

The spam catcher only works if there is a visible email address, now they hide it somehow. if you look at the sender there is no email address shown only their name. 100% of these hidden addresses are spam and it floods in. Surely this is detectable somehow.
I'm about to give up on a 25yr old account due to this.

While it can be challenging to detect and filter out spam emails with hidden addresses, there are a few steps you can take to improve your situation:
- Enable advanced spam filtering: Check your Outlook settings to see if there are advanced options available for spam filtering. Some email providers offer enhanced filters that can detect and block spam emails with hidden addresses more effectively.
- Create custom email rules: Outlook allows you to create custom rules to handle incoming emails. You can set up rules to automatically move or delete emails based on specific criteria, such as the sender's name or keywords in the subject line. While this method might require some initial setup, it can help filter out spam with hidden email addresses.
- Use third-party spam filters: Consider using third-party spam filters or anti-spam software alongside Outlook. These tools often have more advanced algorithms and features specifically designed to detect and block spam, including those with hidden addresses.
- Report spam to your email provider: If you consistently receive spam with hidden addresses, report the issue to your email provider. They may be able to investigate and take further measures to enhance their spam filtering system.
- Train your spam filter: Even if the spam filter cannot detect hidden email addresses directly, you can still mark these messages as spam manually. By consistently marking spam emails as such, you help train the spam filter to recognize similar patterns and improve its accuracy over time.
While these measures can help reduce the influx of spam with hidden email addresses, it's important to note that spammers are constantly evolving their tactics. It may be necessary to employ a combination of strategies and remain vigilant to stay ahead of them.
