There needs to be a way to disable the Editor for Outlook.

You can disable (most of) the Editor features, though the settings for that are a bit hidden. Start by composing a new message, then on the Ribbon, scroll all the way right to the last group and select Editor > Editor settings. Toggle text predictions, auto-correct and so on as you see fit.
do you have to do this every time you start a new message? Why? I am a professional editor, I don't want informal draft emails to be drenched with blue and red lines underlining "mistakes" that either aren't mistakes or aren't important. It's informal email, not a doctoral thesis, and it is just so irritating and intrusive.
I see the Editor Pane but no way to customize or toggle checking for conciseness/clarity/etc. Only a summary of what it's done.
