Sync email - Unable to load these settings. Please try again later.
For over a week, I have had the message "Unable to load these settings. Please try again later." in my "Sync email" settings in Outlook.com. Is anyone else having this issue?
same issue, same annoying emails all the time... now way to fix it it seems, all i get us unable to load settings. does not work in chrome or edge...
The sync settings UI started working for me yesterday so I used it to delete all my synced accounts. I've been using Gmail to sync my Comcast account already, so I'm done using Outlook for syncing, I'll never trust it again. By all observations (like taking nearly two years to fix this), the consumer app has gone to Sustained Engineering and has no full-time engineers, and they don't use the product enough to know when it's broken and/or they don't watch the community forums, so we can only rely on it for the most basic core functionality, not extra features.
- Thanks. I just went to Outlook Live and was able to reestablish the broken link to a gmail account I have. I made no changes. Just opened editor and then followed MS instruction to connect to gmail. Didn't even have to enter password or anything.
No idea what or why it was broken in the first place.Is the sync email setting still nonfunctional for anyone else? I am still seeing the same error message as before.
- Wow! I got Outlook.com back. I can now edit and synch my email accounts. It took a month. I finally got the screen that allows me to edit my accounts.
You know what I did. I deleted all my connections to email. Waiting 30 days for this problem to be rectified drove me to try Gmail. I am sorry. Gmail seems better to me now. Plus there are cool features associated with catching spam and viruses.
I am disappointed in Microsoft. Sorry. I love the foundation they set up for me. This was just too weird.
Have a great year. For those who can wait a month, the problem with accessing your email accounts on Outlook.com will eventually work. Just wait.

I seldom actually clean up that gmail account. Letting the emails accumulate and fall off the radar based on Google's age policy. I DO clean up my Outlook account though.
And now that my Outlook mail account has reestablished that sync with gmail, I have more than 6,000 unread emails in my Outlook inbox. i.e. the sync was lost and, anything and everything in the gmail account was copied into my Outlook inbox folder!
