stop the search results from auto populating in my inbox until I am manually select search
anyway to stop Realtime search results? Right now, my outlook inbox actively changes while I am typing into it the search bar. I only want my inbox to change when I click search, after I am done typing. Is there anyway to do this?

Hi samsgc,
as far as I know and if i undestood your question correctly you can resolve (minimize) your issue by turining off "Show most relevants search results on top".
You can do this in your Outlook, going to File --> Options --> Search.
Please click Mark as Best Response & Like if my post helped you to solve your issue.
This will help others to find the correct solution easily. It also closes the item.If the post was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Like.

hello, thank you for the reply. I checked and this is already turned off so it isnt a fix for my specific question.
let me try to explain a little more.
if i go to the "Search current mailbox" text input and start typing anything, my inbox starts automatically changing what is viewed based on what I am typing. Instead I want my inbox to remain the same and only change to the show the search results when I am done typing out the entire search area actually click search.
so for example, I want to search:
"Invoice from Frank"
I start typing... "in.."
inbox now switches to show all results with 'in' in real time as I am typing
I continue typing.. "invoice..."
inbox now switches to show all results with 'invoice' in real time as I am typing
I continue typing.. "invoice. from.."
inbox now switches to show all results with 'invoice from' in real time as I am typing
etc
I dont want my inbox to change at all.
I want to type out the entire thing "Invoice from Frank"
Then click search
and then my inbox changes to show all results for "Invoice from Frank"
