stop outlook sending mails to gmail
Hi Moonylou007,
I understand your concern. To prevent Outlook from sending emails to your Gmail account, you can try to follow these steps
Review Outlook Rules:
- Open Outlook.
- Navigate to the "File" tab.
- Select "Manage Rules & Alerts" under "Info."
- Examine the list of rules; if any forward emails to Gmail, delete them.
Send/Receive Settings:
- In Outlook, go to "File."
- Click "Options."
- Head to the "Advanced" section.
- Under "Send and receive," click "Send/Receive Groups" and confirm Gmail is not included.
Inspect Gmail Settings:
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Access settings (usually represented by a gear icon).
- Examine the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" settings to confirm no email forwarding is set up.

LeonPavesic I followed each of your steps, and still my Gmail account gets every email sent to my Outlook account. The Outlook account is set up for my business, whereas the Gmail account is for personal communications. After following your steps, a Test email was sent to Outlook, and sure enough it still comes through to Gmail. As frustrating is that when I reply to any message, it is now sent from Gmail. This is unprofessional and has confusion.

Hi stphrc , I tried all the above methods and they didn't work, but I just managed to figure this out for my accounts so hopefully it helps you too!
In my Gmail settings, under 'Accounts and Imports' I had a 'Gmailify' setting that I had to unlink.
This unlinked all my Outlook/Hotmail emails from my Gmail account so I don't have them coming through anymore.

I'm having a similar issue. I had to go to 'Accounts and Imports' 'Send Mail As' and where the email I want to remove is in that little list. To edit the info to not treat as an alias it is a pain though, as apparently the port number and server is wrong and it couldn't be reached. No matter what one out of the 3 I choose. I also don't know what else to use for the server, so I'm at a loss there.
