Spam and Junk

I have been using MS Windows almost from the day it was invented, at least since I purchased my first computer in the 1960's and similarly using MS Office in all its guises. Throughout that time I have been totally satisfied other than minor glitches, some of which were my fault. So why am I publishing this now?

Because I am totally fed up with Junk and Spam. I have been diligently reporting it through the MS Report tool but I have concluded that far from reducing the number (50+ a day!) the number is actually increasing. Completely unrealistic email addresses happily pass through whatever filters are supposedly in place, threats that MS products are about to be disconnected are regularly received, threats that I have not paid for services I have never had (and don't want!) - the list is long.

Why isn't the MS filter system working? A friend who uses Apple (I didn't mean to swear!) gets zero spam messages. If Apple can do it why not MS?

Even as I have been typing this I have received a message saying my outlook account is going to be deleted. Please don't put this back on me, suggesting I change my email. I have a large email address book which would be a nightmare to change and not least probably cost a significant sum.
