sent folder and sent emails
I am not sure if I understand "but keep all them in a single Sent items folder"
I am trying to lookup and view already sent emails.
as I mentioned they are not in one folder. The sent emails are in multiple folders/subfolders.
- I just suggest do not create subfolders but use tags instead.

having no subfolder / folder for our projects is not a choice/option. been doing business and using Outlook for past 25 years (few years in between we switched to IBM Lotus which was great for search functions) and we have to have folders.
do not know much about tags, but I will look into it.
just used the Search Folder suggestion and created a folder with custom criteria, specifying all sent emails from me with no other restriction. the folder looked ok at first but is missing 2 out of 6 emails I sent just this morning, which now shows up in default sent folder! but not in the new search folder.
really disappointed with Outlook and how convoluted this is. I thought this would have answered and solved my problem but unfortunately it did not. but thanks again for your help. I am also talking through Outlook help function with support staff lets see if they have any solution.
