Search not working in Outlook 2019 since updating to Monterey 12.1 on the Mac
There appears from other sites to be a very widespread problem with search not working in Outlook - no results obtained in Monterey- since the latest OS update. Rebuilding spotlight does not work and...
I did everything socalidude did with the same results. I hope others check here before spending the time on all the solutions proposed online.
I talked to Apple - implementation can make a difference Monterey on Intel or M1 processor / According of Microsoft Office is ready for M1 (Apple can not confirm - but said it should work) Obviously Microsoft still has to look into Spotlight search
druflin I'm on a Mac with Intel chips. It's still not working. It appears it's not a CPU or chipset issue.
- On my MacBook Pro (2015) it works - I run Monterey 12.1 - upgraded from Office 2016 (to 2019, Version 16.56) just to see whether it still works; unfortuntely my 2016 License is now lost
- My temporary solution (and I hope it's very temporary) is to run my Hosted Exchange email on Outlook Web. The search on that works great and very fast.
- Yes, that's what our IT people said to do for the time being as well.
