Search function in Outlook is terrible

Outlook search sucks big time. It's embarrassingly bad. I can search on my mac using finder and it will find an email instantly because macs actually have perfect indexing and search functionality. Do the search in outlook in which the email was created and it finds nothing. And no, it's not because outlook it still cataloging the emails because they've been on my computer for a year and outlook is open 10 hours a day 5 days a week. And no I don't want to hear that I have to reinstall outlook or delete some profile or some other thing which I shouldn't need to do. Of all the programs I have on my mac the only ones which crash are microsoft programs. Microsoft To do will crash if I drag more than one to do entry. Outlook won't find emails and this week suddenly stopped showing attachments! Onedrive has been stuck for months trying to upload 8 files which I can't identify. I've noticed weird things Excel does nowadays and can't be trusted. Microsoft products are fundamentally broken. I tried moving from a mac to windows and within 48 hours i was back because of the underlying ui/ux of windows is broken. In fact I couldn't even get into windows on a brand new lenovo machine because of a windows 11 setuo issue. I will never ever buy a laptop with windows 11 again.
