reverting to classic outlook from new outlook

I have done part of this switch back to classic outlook but want to make sure that my calendar moves back and i don't lose all my appointments. do they/will they just show up in classic outlook when i click the button to shut off new outlook? and if by chance they don't transfer, can i go back to new outlook and try again?
