Remove unnecessary "All Apps" button

A new button called "All Apps" showed up on the left side of my Email "Home" tab today.  But when I try to "Customize Ribbon..." to remove it, the button does not show up.  My ribbon was already full, so this unneeded and completely unnecessary button cause my entire ribbon to re-layout.  How can I remove it?

See the attached for a screenshot.

Unfortunately, you can not have both. You can not remove the All Apps icon from the left navigation.

Please provide MS with the feedback.

I just don't understand Microsoft's absolute obsession with littering the workspace with icons that launch other apps - they're there in Outlook, Word, Teams and the pointless Edge sidebar. Do they not understand that most people just pin any icons they might need to the Windows taskbar or Start menu, or put them on the desktop?

JayAtNFTYou can force the navigation pane back to the bottom which will auto-hide the 'all apps' button and other irrelevant buttons in Outlook. To do this, open the Registry editor, navigator to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentEcs\Overrides, create a String called Microsoft.Office.Outlook.Hub.HubBar and set it to False.

I think you have selected to sync a folder in Drive C: such as documents or any folders beside the documents.

I'm not sure how I missed it the first time, but there is a checkbox to turn it off in "Options / Advanced / Outlook panes".

I didn't know about this option previously, and I suspect it is a recent addition. There appear to be other complications here. I had the "All Apps" button in the toolbar, but it, disappeared.  In Options>Advanced the option was unchecked. As a guess, this is a pretty recent change to Outlook, and the developers decided to default to unchecked, or there is a bug that causes the option to be unselected.

Oh... even better, these "random" changes they have been making also keep trashing the group and button I have in my ribbon for running a couple of macros....

Thank you for this. I'm happy that it also removed the left bar and returned the icons to below the left pane...where they used to be.

But in keeping with my experience that Microsoft doesn't test with real users, turning off the button ALSO moves my "Email/Calendar/Contacts" toolbar from the left rail (where I want it) to the bottom (where I don't). Please tell me there's a way to leave the toolbar where it was AND turn off the button?
