Remove "Add account" from the new Outlook and block access to personal accounts

We'd like the ability to:

  1. Remove "Add account" from the user interface of the new Outlook: We've prevented adding via policy however users still run through the process entirely for it to only be blocked at the final sync which is counter-intuitive.
  2. Block access to any existing personal accounts: Any personal account that was configured prior to implementing the PersonalAccountsEnabled policy is still accessible.

Note: The following is what we've implemented to prevents adding additional personal accounts:

Set-OwaMailboxPolicy -PersonalAccountsEnabled $false -identity OwaMailboxPolicy-Default

Thanks!

Yes, the Intune policy is not working. Also MS has not provided any suitable solution yet.

  • This is an older thread. I am curious if there is a solution that works now within intune.

No solution yet by MS. I tried Intune configuration policy (windows 10) and App protection policy ( APP can only assigned to Android/iOs). No luck.  I can still able to add Gmail&Yahoo mail account in new outlook (preview) in Windows 10 machine (Customer Org).
