Reading pane permanently set to hidden for Junk Email folder.

Hi,

Recently I noticed that for the Junk Email folder that the reading pane is some how set to hidden. It can be changed to either Bottom or Right but this setting is not persistent.

I'd like the setting change to stay the way I set it. Is this possible?
