Problem saving emails in New Outlook
Unfortunately, New Outlook currently only supports .eml export, which breaks workflows that rely on .msg files. A few workarounds:
If possible, switch back to Classic Outlook where .msg export works.
Use a VBA or Power Automate flow to auto-save emails and attachments separately in a supported format.
Third-party add-ins (e.g., Kutools, MessageSave) can help batch-convert .eml back to .msg or PDF with attachments intact.
At the moment, Microsoft hasn’t reintroduced full .msg saving in New Outlook, so these alternatives are the most practical.

Save emails as .MSG. You can now save emails as .msg files by right-clicking them (in your message list) and selecting Save as > Save as MSG.
