Plan a meeting on a weeekly calendar view with another calendar opened

Hello all, glad to join the troops.

I would like to know if you thought it would be possible to schedule a meeting on this view with a colleagues calendar opened (his/her sharing preferences are unknown)
BUT, I just want to plan, request a meeting, why should I be prevented to even try, see attached screenshot.
