Outlook VBA Editor settings keep re-setting

When I make changes to the Outlook VBA editor view, for example show toolbars, the changes do not save. So, after a re-start of outlook. all changes are lost and view reverts to default, this also applies to changes made to options.  Also, if I use the bookmark flags to bookmark lines of code, the flags disappear on re-start.

Outlook 365

Any ideas.

I know this is an old post, but I had the same problem having just reinstalled Windows and Office 365.

I tried saving the Outlook VBA settings, but after each restart (of Outlook), they had reverted to their previous state.

My solution was to open Excel and Outlook VBA editors and change the settings in each. I saved the Outlook and Excel sessions; now the editors have the settings retained across restarts.

I then tried Access VBA editor and had to use the same process (Access and Excel together) in order to save the Access VBA editor window settings.

      OK!

I have some trouble figuring out here what and when it saves the changes. In which order did you do stuff here? I've got it to save the changes but I can't realy figure out what triggers it 😃. Is it that something changes in Excel VBA layout that triggers Outlook VBA editor to save it's layout?

        Hi Mikael

I don't recall the exact order I made the changes, but I think I did the Outlook VAB Editor settings before those in Excel. I was just trying various permutations to get what I wanted. I think saving the changes happened automatically when I closed Outlook and Excel, but I really don't remember - sorry! :-(
