This has been an ongoing issue since June 20. There's an advisory in M365 Admin Center. We've had 50 cases so far in our environment and have opened a case with Microsoft support. I suggest you do as well. Title: Users may intermittently be unable to update or cancel calendar items in the Outlook desktop client User impact: Users may intermittently be unable to update or cancel calendar items in the Outlook desktop client. More info: Users intermittently receive an error when updating or canceling calendar items that prevent these users from completing the intended action. Users can bypass impact by updating meetings using Outlook on the web or new Outlook desktop client. Additional information on the end user experience and error messages being received can be found here: support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/outlook-shows-conflict-errors-when-updating-or-cancelling-meetings-69c26227-40ef-4377-8f12-1749fcaad2ad

      HI CountryPreacher

Basically this is not resolved and is a known issue.

Like mentioned workaround you are referring me too are not a solution.

Using the new version works but ends users don't like being forced to use it unless there is no other choice the layout and the features of the new version are not easy for them to use.

But yes thank you for taking the time to respond
