Outlook Search not showing Recent Emails (December-2021)

Open office
- Click on "file" (top left corner)
- "Options" (second from bottom left corner
- Outlook Options should now be open select "search" (sixth selection on your left)
-Under "Sources" on the left select "Index options"
-Select advanced at the bottom of the new window
-Now select rebuild

NOTE this takes several hours mine took 2 days to complete

    Indexing newest emails has stopped working about two weeks ago on my standalone Office 2016 home Small Office Ed.

     

    I have rebuild index, still not working.

    Repaired office 2016 and rebuild index, still not indexing newest emails.

    Scan PST repair files, errors founds, rebuild index, still not indexing latest emails.

     

    Out of ideas on why it stopped indexing newest emails. I have settled to manually "stop" and "Start" the Windows Search Option in "Services" (with Outlook closed) and it seems to temporary fix the indexing newest emails issue until next rebooting.

     

    Anyone else has this issue?

    Thank you, you made a great contribution over the last 6 months - did it take Microsoft that long to clean uop their own mess?
    Perhaps ypou could go onto the Ebay boards and sort them out, these lasrge organisations are like oil tankers, only worse.

    It worked well for me until this morning. It wasn't indexing newest emails once again. I had to go to services, stop and restart the Search Service.

     

    It might be a temporary error, I will keep you posted.

    Its been almost 3 weeks now and all search is working just fine seems like Microsoft managed to fix the issue permanently
