Outlook Search not showing Recent Emails (December-2021)

Newest update on Windows 10 KB5009467 fixed the problem. I did few updates on hosts and mail searching is working fine.

The problem with this fix, if it works, is that to start with one is requested to follow this procedure:
Start > Runs > gpedit.msc
Having done that, the system returns a message saying gpedit.msc not found. Tried different routes that took me to nowhere. Then found online a post stating that gpedit.msc is not available on Windows 10 home version.
Any suggestions please?I had to sign up just to ask about this Outlook problem, as it's driving me mad. Only found it happening the past month because of this update it seems.
Does this very complicated/risky (may mess up my whole email account) solution work?

Or if not is it best to wait if you have below average IT knowledge like me. Should it get fixed automatically, eventually- presumably in another update?
