Outlook Search not showing Recent Emails (December-2021)

Microsoft has finally acknowledged there is a problem and has provided a temp workaround for this issue.

The workaround works, but searches in Outlook become VERY SLOW. Unfortunately, this doesn't work for me. Thank you nevertheless for the link.
And @Microsoft: please fix the problem QUICKLY
