Correct. You have to create a VB script or an Outlook add-in to do what you want.

When you say I am correct and need to create a VB script or an Outlook add-in, are you saying this from previous experience/knowledge? Is it documented somewhere that OneNote etc. cannot be removed from the Ribbon?
I have currently managed a kind of workaround by creating a curtom Tab and adding, to that tab, all of my customised Ribbon groups and items. I have then moved that new Tab to the position usually held by the "Home" Tab and named it "My Home" andI have renamed the old "Home" tab and moved it to the end of the Tabs list.
So far, touch wood, it sems to be working consistantly but only time will tell.
