Outlook Navigation in the top left of the screen instead of on the bottom

How do you move the Outlook navigation buttons from the bottom of the Outlook screen (the default location) to the upper left? I'm replacing my Surface Pro 7 with a Surface Laptop Studio. On the Pro 7, the Outlook navigation pane appears in the upper left:

On the Surface Laptop Studio, it appears on the bottom of the Outlook screen:

I've tried toggling "Touch/Mouse Mode" but that doesn't change where the navigation pane is. How do I reposition it?

Thanks!

Did you ever figure this out?  I know how to revert the change, but not how to deploy it. I need the new TASKS feature in the left nav for a project.
