Outlook Mac & Android pause syncing Yahoo mail
On both my Mac laptop and my Android phone, Outlook occasionally stops receiving Yahoo emails. It's 1:00pm and the last email I've received was at 8:40am. If I log onto mail.yahoo.com in my Edge browser, I've received dozens of emails since then, but they don't appear in either Outlook app. This happens frequently. Later in the day, I'll see all the emails, but in the meanwhile it may be hours before Outlook receives them.
Why does this happen, and how do I fix it?
Microsoft Outlook for Mac Version 16.93 (25011212) on MacBook Sequoia 15.2, current version on Android Samsung Galaxy S22.

Hii
It seems your Yahoo mail account is facing the syncing issue, or the storage is full on your device. The best way to fix the problem is to check the syncing settings first and ensure that the device has enough storage. If it does not help then remove your account and re-add it. Besides that, getting the additional help also can be a good idea to remove the problem effectively.
Check your account settings - do you see the yahoo server names? If not, the account is a Microsoft cloud account and the mail syncs with the cloud server and down to outlook. To fix, you need to remove the account from and add it back. If asked to remove the account from everywhere, say yes. This deletes the cached mail from the server and creates a fresh cloud mailbox.

Thanks Diane, I followed your clear instructions and it worked! 😀I tried several other things to fix the issue, but nothing worked until I choose to remove the account from everywhere.

Are you using New Outlook or Legacy? Did you look at the sync settings for that account? It should be delivering on demand, other obstacles would be antivirus/malwarebytes. Typically, Mac doesn't have an issue with send/receiving quickly.
