Outlook Killed My Personal Email Account after I signed in with a work account on same device
I've had a personal email account with hotmail.com for about twenty years, but it has been killed by Outlook, after I signed in with my work account on the same device.
Basically, after I signed in with the work account in a browser window (Chrome, in this case), Outlook froze up and said that my password was needed to access email.
I clicked to add my password and outlook gave me an error saying "there is no work or school account with this name". Obviously I knew that, as it was my personal email and this was my personal device.
I've had a similar experience before with Teams, where I had to uninstall and reinstall to use my personal account to make Skype calls with my monthly allowance as part of my 365 membership. So, I removed the account from my outlook and tried to add it again, and it errored.
Tried to access my personal email on the web and it couldn't open.
Everything else is still there, Onedrive files, etc, etc. But it seems my email account has been totally eliminated by MS's overly zealous pushing of the work/school account.
I've lost travel tickets, access to a couple of social media accounts, etc. So this is highly frustrating. Waiting for a support technician, but it's a 2 hour wait and not expecting that they will know what's happened, or how to fix it.
Anyone else had similar?

Delete the work account in the Outlook account settings, re-add the personal account and remember to leave Single Authentication unchecked.
