Outlook Freezes when Clicking the Signature Button

The MS Forum 'Fix' for this was, among other things, that: 

"This issue is fixed in Office Version 1802 (Build 9029.2167) or higher. When you install an Office Subscription with that build or higher, it will automatically remove the pre-installed Microsoft Office Desktop apps."

HOWEVER, I have a much later version. I have Version 2102 (Build 13801.20360 Click-To-Run) but I still have this problem. 

QUESTION:

1) What do I do? 

2) And, if you answer is to uninstall any pre-installed Microsoft Office desktop apps. How can I reinstall them if  sometime in the future I am not a MS 365 customer and don't get auto updates of new apps when released and thus I need my original MS Office products & apps in future?
