Outlook for PC -- FROM field does not work
In Outlook for PC (16.0.13029.20342) 64bit.
FROM field no longer works with "Send As" Permissions. This was working properly until outlook updated today.
Confirmed that permissions were set in Administration for the O365 Group.
User has "Send As", but NOT "Send on Behalf" permission for the group.
FROM field is read only in New Email form. Trying to use the "Other Email Address" option after right-clicking the "From" label results in a the "Send From Other Email Address" dialog box. That dialog box requires a "Send Using" email be selected. It cannot be empty.
The user is unable to simply enter the correct address in the FROM field.
All test messages sent return the same kickback error: "This message could not be sent. You do not have the permission to send the message on behalf of the specified user."

Anyone?
Everything works fine in web-based Outlook. Why isn't this working in desktop Outlook?

anonymized - The same thing happened to me. It was working fine earlier this summer. When I recently tried to show a co-worker the feature, it did not work. The e-mails kept coming back undeliverable for the reason you stated. It is not working for me from the web version either.
