Can you please share if you are syncing Exchange online mailboxes (Microsoft 365 ) or IMAP/POP from different providers (Gmail, Yahoo...)?

1. Open Outlook in the new interface and click on the top menu Outlook > preferences and Accounts. Try to locate the free-up space option, if there is one at all. After you free up the space, re-open your Outlook.
2. The Second option would be to delete your Mailbox completely. It is important to ensure that the mailbox is deleted on both the New and Legacy sides. And then add mailbox while in the new interface as Exchange.
