Agree with the frustration.
I upgraded to new MAC Mini. Outlook worked for gmail, but crashed for comcast - every time I tried to get to comcast e-mail folder. Chat tech recommended rebuilding comcast folders - now NOTHING works. computer too fast in crashing comcast, so I can't try Force Quit action. Really UNACCEPTABLE.

I'm having the same issue. Agree there is no time to do a Force Quit as Outlook crashes too quickly. Just posting to show others that as of Jan 24th problem is still not resolved.

Updated iOS, updated outlook, checked email this morning and then boom! Crash! Restarted MacBook Air, tried the Force Quit options, NOTHING. So like everyone, really frustrated.

Ultimately, the only thing that worked was deleting the Outlook app and then the Outlook folder in ~/Library/Container. Then reinstalled Outlook from my Microsoft Account page. It installed as new Outlook and now works fine. I lost access to some email that dates back about 10 years (still have the data but the program can't seem to read it). Otherwise, it's okay. I'm getting used to the new format.
