Outlook disregards formatting of image copied from Word.

Hello,
Using Office 365 clients.

A user took an image file and pasted it into Word. They then rotated the image 90 degrees. They then copied that image, into a new email in Outlook.

The image looked rotated, the way the user wanted it.

When sent, the email received by the recipient was back to its original orientation.

Is this working as intended?
