Outlook.com - Outlook settings not Microsoft Exchange

Why when I add outlook.com account to Outlook App (Windows 10) it uses Imap and not Microsoft Exchange?
When I add Office365 account it uses Microsoft Exchange - working 100%
Ok I updated my Outlook to the latest version. And added email account manually. Now outlook.com email account is working 100% and showing it using Microsoft Exchange. Problem solved.
