Outlook 2016 hyperlink to network path with FQDN and IP

Hi guys,

I found a problem of hyperlinks in body of an e-mail in Outlook 2016.

If I do hyperlink to a file on network share: "file:///\\FQDN\folder1\folder 2\file name.pdf"

This link will work in all Outlook versions to open desired file by user. The spaces in names will not be changed to a HEX code (space = %20)

If I do hyperlink to a file on network share: "file:///\\[IP_ADDRESS]\folder1\folder 2\file name.pdf"

In this case Outlook change the link to -> "file:///\\[IP_ADDRESS ]\folder1\folder%202\file%20name.pdf"-> this cause a problem -> link is broken and can´t open desired file.

\\IP_ADDRESS and \\FQDN = same destination.

There is no problem with path "file:///"

I tried to add IP_ADDRESS in Internet option as a trusted web. But this can not be done by admin in GPO for other users.

Any suggestion to this?

Thanks!

Herry
