Outlook - cannot add Google G Suite account - javascript disabled?
So i now have this fixed also. this relates to the solution jamatruda posted previously. I had attempted to use both individual and org account options to login and got the same error
Using a private browsing window i logged in with my personal domain account email address but as an individual account and got the error message Devarro posted. The Devarro post is where i started to get what was going on. Following the instructions on that page i renamed the individual account from 'name@domain' to 'name-google@domain' this meant that i had access to the legacy individual account settings / history etc so can check to see what is there and merge over to my organisation google account in the future if there is anything i need (i doubt this). I had to verify the email address etc as expected but now have my 'name@domain' org account and name-google@domain individual account which both work.
After this i attempted to add my Email address removed email address to outlook and instead of popping up with org / individual dialogue it just asks for my password. And bing bang bosh i have the email address back added in to Outlook and all working.
Hopefully this explanation helps others get this resolved. Cheers all for your contributions in helping me to get my head round what was going on. Doesnt explain why the javascript error was popping up or how thats fixed but it does resolve the fundamental fault for me and hopefully others.
- NikolayIApr 14, 2022Brass ContributorThis doesn't solve the problem for me, as I cannot login to this old "individual" account, so I have to continue choosing between the two accounts. The problem is clearly related to Outlook on Windows (IE 11 in this case), so it should be solvable on the Outlook side. Why it was working so far and now it stops working.
