Outlook - cannot add Google G Suite account - javascript disabled?

I am trying to add Google G Suite account to Outlook. When I enter the  G Suite account email it shows the Google login screen.   Then I get a question by Google to choose "Organizational G Suite a...

ok, i have a resolution. I was able to chat with a google support rep. Evidently microsft changed something on their end where by if you try to add a gmail organizational account that is also linked to an individual account it comes back with that java error. The fix is to login to the individual google account and you should be presented with a screen saying there is an account conflict, do you want to setup a new account and migrate the data to the new account. Once you do this then it works. In my case, I signed up for google adwords several years ago and this was never linked to my organizational email.

That’s an odd one as mine was working for years but I had to change the password last night and since then this happened

    Same thing happened to me
    Win 10 Running Outlook & gmail for years but changed password now coming up with same javascript error

        Hi mayojs. Thanks for the reply. I am running Outlook 2016 not Outlook 365. Do you think the registry patch will work for me ?

    I think Google requires 2FA for account credentials

      have tested this with my 2fa turned both on and off and makes no difference. I can however access and mount / remount my gsuite mailbox on outlook 365 on my macbook. issue is with the windows version of outlook and underlying browser configuration i suspect. I have a support request in with MS at the moment and looking at the logs to see if we can find the issue.

        skiingscot I also spent 3 days with Microsoft support on this Known issue. Tech tried his best, and we HAD a work around, in that he installed and Older version of Office (in my case 2016) so my Ver 2021 License would work. everything worked great for almost a week, then Microsoft did an Auto Update, and My Office is now ver. 2021 again, and I am getting the same error with my G Suite organizational account.

    Mine too, for years. I walked in this morning and the login screen was up. 6 hours messing with this.
