Out of storage space, but i am really not

I had like 30k emails in a folder , and the notice popped out that i am using 4.9GB out of 5GB .

Then i trashed those 30k emails, and wiped out the trash.

Now the notice tells me i am using 5GB / 5GB . So it got even worse Lol

How is that?
