Out of office | Advance intimation going out as a meeting invite

Hi,
Our team uses the meeting feature to let everyone else know about their upcoming vacation or OOO status. The intention is to keep everyone aware of their unavailability, on a particular day or week. 

However, since they are using the meeting feature it comes with its functionalities. For example, people have to 'accept' this pseudo-meeting to stay aware, and when they do so, their calendar gets blocked for those many days as well.

Also, since our team works in a hybrid model, we get a Teams meeting link automatically added to every meeting invite we send out. So, sometimes these vacation notifications also have a meeting link for others to join in. 

Does Outlook have any other way to pop up these OOO notifications without blocking others' calendars? If not, request you to consider adding this. 

It would be the best if these kind of notifications come up when someone sets their OOO to the intended audience.
