No longer possible to setup alerts for rules - New Outlook for Windows
In the old Outlook I had plenty of rules created with alerts, in which each time a new email was received with specific conditions, i would receive a desktop notification and new popup in the New Item Alert windows along with playing a custom sound.
However, it seems this is no longer possible in the New Outlook for Windows, as I can only setup rules but no alerts.
Has this been discontinued or am I missing something?

- I came here to find a way to get the alert to the new Outlook, but Microsoft's IT department has not responded to this important question yet. This question was posted almost a year ago.
- I've been missing so many emails. It's gotten to the point where my job security is coming into play. I used to revert back to the old version but my IT department convinced me to delete all of the rules I had set up. I can't tell you how much I hate Office 365. They just 86'd so many useful features.
- Completely agree, this pop-up alert for rules has been either disabled or hiden somewhere else I can not find in the new Outlook version.
Could someone confirm or suggest a workaround? This feature was very helpful.
