New Outlook: 'To' field not auto populating as I type address in new email
Hi everyone,
When using 'new' Outlook, when I create a new email and start typing a recipient in the 'To' field (or CC, or BCC), it doesn't display a list of potential recipients at all. Rather I have to type the entire email address (the same if I create a new calendar event).
If I revert back to Classic Outlook, all works perfectly and I can select the recipient having only typed the first letter.
I have been using new Outlook for a while and this issue has only started in the past 24 hours. Anyone seeing the same, or have any suggestions on a possible fix?
Thanks

New Outlook fails to return recipient suggestions in mail and calendar, while classic Outlook works, so the directory is intact and the failure is in New Outlook’s cloud search or local app state. Open Outlook on the web in a window and type the same recipient. If suggestions fail there too, a Microsoft Search or service issue is likely; for a work account, ask the administrator to check service health. If the web works, update New Outlook from Microsoft Store, sign out, restart Windows, and sign in again. Confirm the recipient exists under People and can be found by selecting the To button. Then open Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Outlook (new) > Advanced options and choose Repair; use Reset only if Repair fails. If it persists, capture the UTC test time and account type and open support. Clearing Outlook’s AutoComplete cache will not repair New Outlook.
