New Outlook not playing new email sound or sending notifications.
I managed to finally amend the chimes/sounds for Outlook now. (Windows 11, Outlook Classic).
* Outlook > File > Options > Mail > "uncheck play a sound on message arrive"
* Windows > Sound Settings > More Sound Settings > Sounds tab > Change "New Mail Notification" AND * "Desktop Mail Notification" (I changed mine to "DING" FWIW)
This seems to allow me to now amend incoming email notification sounds.
This is however for the Outlook Classic Desktop version, not "Outlook New".
Separate note: Love the way Microsoft have got into the habbit of calling applications "New" - like "Sticky Notes (New)" - Or "OneNote for Windows10"
How long do the apps retain a "new" status or being pinned to a certain Win OS flavour before it's hugely out of date. Why the desire to call it "new" all the time when it's just an update?
When we're in 2028 and on another version of outlook, will we be referring to "Outlook New" when in fact it's 4 years old???
