New Outlook Mail Folder wrong language
- I fixed this on my own after all Microsoft Support was useless.
You have to go to the settings and make the "Japanese mailbox" your MAIN mailbox. After doing that, go to outlook app settings and change the language of the folders to your preferred one. Then change your main mailbox back to what you want.
Ridiculous.
I am having the issue in the new outlook, deployed via the Store. The one that replaced mail and calendar. https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/outlook-for-windows/9NRX63209R7B?gl=&hl=
Could you check what language is set under your system settings?
Just go to Windows search > Type in "Language settings" > Then check what language is set under Windows display language.
I got the same issue. I have several email accounts but one of the accounts is displayed in Japanese. I only use English in all my MS apps and Windows and never use Japanese before (in fact I don't understand Japanese). What's wrong with the new Outlook? The display was in English before the upgrade.

I had similar issue with the folders language in Outlook Office 2021
after installing the Outlook (New) with Exchange Server
To solve the problem go to Outlook(new) settings - Language select you desire language and save.
Close and re-open Outlook office and it is fixed.

darlene22xx Thank you for the reply. The language there is set to Greek and as a second language I have English (United States).
