New Outlook App Opens Tasks in My Browser, instead of Within the App
In the New Windows app, when I click on the blue checkmark (Tasks) icon instead of opening it in the app, it opens a page in my web browser. If I wanted to use Outlook in my browser, I wouldn't be us...
I have this issue too, very frustrating. If the new Outlook app is still in beta it should say so.
Khitchen It does - it tells you it's a preview...
I notice the separate Tasks application has the same problem - if you click on a flagged email in that it will open it in your browser not desktop Outlook. So there's no longer any one place where all tasks work properly (unless you revert to classic Outlook, obviously).
I think the problem is that both these applications are web based, so as far as they're aware you're already in a browser.
