New email folders in Outlook for Mac

Microsoft Support "Known issues syncing Google accounts to the Microsoft Cloud" says "creating, renaming or deleting folders in Outlook is not yet supported."   Does "not yet" mean "never will be"?  I've been waiting for a solution for quite a long time.
