New Authentication for email from September 2024

Exactly. There are plenty of devices out there that send notifications using SMTP email. These devices cannot be updated to use a modern authentication method. However, I'm not aware that any of these device receive or need to "read" SMTP email. Will these device be allowed to use SMTP, presumably with an app password, to send notification emails?
I have the same issue as mg Reolink camera app can now no longer send SMTP emails notifying me of camera activities. This is a nightmare. Is there going to be a way forward?
