Need to understand how to make an AutoCorrect entry
Hello All,
I hope the new year gets you all that you ask for.
I am working in MS-Outlook for Microsoft 365 and I have a user who needs to enter a particular text in a whole lot of emails.
For example the phrase "This was received! Thanks" is sometimes the whole body of the email.
What are the steps to take to make TWR auto correct to "This was received! Thanks"
So that the user can type TWR and Outlook will change it to "This was received! Thanks"
Thanks for any help
Georgie
If you have New Outlook Enabled, you must revert to Classic Outlook.
* Help | Go to Classic
Once you are in Outlook Classic, follow the prompts in the images below.
File | Options
Mail | Spelling and Autocorrect
Proofing | AutoCorrect Options | AutoCorrect |
Input Replace phrase with [Actual phrase]I hope this helps.

Yes, unfortunately autocorrect does not (yet) work with the new Outlook. In the meantime, you can "use" the two tools "Signature" and "My Templates" to cover at least part of this automation.
Unfortunately, My Templates does not work with third-party accounts.
