navigation bar moved to left
Dears, The navigation bar has been moved to the left. How can I change it back to be on the bottom?

Hi everyone,
I found the answer to this unwanted change (in the future it will be forced to have it on the left ...). I've already posted it on the MS forum but I will post it also here what to do:
Guys, this feature drove me also crazy but I did what u/AKSNC30 wrote BUT I had NOT the possibility to unclick the "Coming Soon" feature in the normal or safe Outlook.
What I did:
1) Closed MS Outlook
2) run with WIN+R (Windows button + R) and typed outlook.exe /safe (there must be a space between "exe" and "/safe"
( 3) if there is no feature for "Coming soon" - just close safe Outlook)
4) closed the "Safe Outlook"
5) reopened normal Outlook
and all was again in place (nav bar under e-mail folders). So I don't really know but Microsoft is doing some stuff without even the possibility to revert it back ... and we pay for this ...
The link to my comment is here on page 10 (Vik99977)
Cheers,
Vik

This worked great, thank you. I'm also on the same page with many others...leave the navigation bar with the ability to place where desired. When splitting screens horizontally it provides more area to view email.

Go to Outlook options>Advanced
Deselect "Show apps in Outlook".
This will get you to the old nav bar.
- Paul__OMar 21, 2023Copper ContributorYes, we know. But that option will be taken away.

Absolute stupid change to not give users the option to revert to the view they prefer. Forced changes are one of the main complaints people have about the overall transition to 365. This is a perfect example of MS pushing down what they think is best. 365 transition has been a pain. Realize why MS did it from a recurring revenue perspective but at least give users the ability to retain settings they want.

Since this pc no longer shows the coming soon button at the top we arent able to put the bar back to the bottom of the page and the way I understand it that isn't an option now.
- Sep 22, 2022What is the version & build number and the channel? Coming soon is no longer in 2210/Beta channel - the nav bar is on the left.
If the version is newer and coming soon not available, check these registry keys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentConfigs\ExternalFeatureOverrides\outlook
or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\ExperimentEcs\Overrides
If you have a value for Microsoft.Office.Outlook.Hub.HubBar, change it from True to False. (This is a temp fix - when it is no longer experimental, this key will be removed.)- Susan JohnsonSep 22, 2022Copper Contributor
Diane_Poremsky_MVP It is Microsoft Outlook for Microsoft 365 MSO Version 2208 Build 16.0.15601.20148
- Estelle59May 30, 2022Copper ContributorIssue solved. I too noticed the navigation pane was at the left vs. the bottom. To correct it I turned the toggle switch in the upper right hand corner that says "Try it Now" off, closed Outlook, restarted it and the navigation pane (mail, calendar, contacts and tasks) were once again at the bottom. I should also add that when the navigation pane moved to the left there were additional icons that were not previously displayed. As soon as it relocated to the bottom those additional icons were gone; however, I have the option of adding them by clicking on the ellipses.
