MOVING/COPYING MY OUTLOOK INBOX TO A CO-WORKER

I am retiring at the end of the month and I would like to move my inbox to a co worker, but I need it to appear as 'Gordon's Inbox', a separate inbox to her own.  Is this possible and if so how would I go about it.

Your help would be very much appreciated.

  • Hello Gordon,

I'm afraid the current input isn't enough to answer your question.
I believe you don't have an IT department to count on?
Main question at this time: will your email account be kept working after your retirement, or is just a copy of all your items needed?

In instances such as this I prefer to go to the experts!

I believe my account will go when I go.

All I need is a copy of all of my emails

I can get round the issue by creating a folder in my Outlook Inbox called "Gordon's Inbox" and then dropping all of my sub folders (containing all my emails) into the said folder, then export to a pst file.  My co worker could then import the folder (Gordon's Inbox) from the pst file, but I am sure there is a easier way to achieve the end goal.

        Hi Gordon,

        Tx for the clear answers!
There are indeed perhaps better/faster solutions to obtain this, but there is nothing wrong with your approach.
The process you describe is a perfect solution for your use case, since a more automated way is overkill for this one-time task.

Exporting your data into a new .pst file, copy it over (USB / netwerk / ...) and then either:
        - import the files into your colleagues mailbox, or
        - add the .pst file as a second data file onto her account
(depend on whether the colleague needs to access your mail via web or not; or on the size of the mailbox; the size of your data; ....)

        Enjoy the retirement!
