Missing DragnDrop of attachments from new Outlook to browsers (SharePoint) – Please bring it back!
The new Outlook no longer supports direct drag & drop of email attachments into browser-based apps like SharePoint or OneDrive. In the classic Outlook, this worked seamlessly, but now we have to go through the desktop as a workaround – an unnecessary extra step that significantly slows down our workflow.
Please restore this essential feature! Many businesses and power users rely on drag & drop for efficient work, and this limitation is a major downgrade.

This is a huge issue for our users. Funny enough, it used to work in new Outlook and Microsoft removed it because “security”. If there is a security/DLP concern here, how about you disclose exactly what that is and let me as the admin decide if this policy should be enforced?
This is the number one reason our users can’t move to the new Outlook. Microsoft needs to do something about it ASAP.

I discover that just today, cause I was developing a web application with d&drop feature and my idea was to use it with email directly from Outlook.
So with the "classic" Outlook version this problem doesn't exist? Could you please confirm that? I'm unable to test it at the moment ☹️

Yes, please, bring the drag/drop feature back! It is very time consuming and a potential security issue when needing to download from Outlook and then do an upload to SharePoint.

Can't believe nothing has been done. This feature is lacking in the browser version as well in addition to the desktop app. I second the security risk - currently working from a temporary workstation. I have to now ensure I delete the saved files after dragging.

I have a whole department who refuses to move to Outlook over this one feature. Sort it Microsoft!

Yes, please, restore this simple feature. It's odd that they took away something so intuitive and available as long as I've used Outlook. To add salt to the wound, they now require dragging of other files into the body of the email to make it an attachment. Depending on the file type (such as an image), it actually pastes it into the body instead of being an attachment. I would love to have it restored to the original method of dragging files to be attached into the header of the composition above the formatting ribbon as before.

Fully agree - Hope this feature will return soon.
I was pretty exicted about the new Outlook version as the inclusion of the ToDo list seems good but without drag&drop of files, I rather skip this and use the old Outlook version.
Drag & Drop is so essential for me.
So, "hey Microsoft! - if you read this: please, please, please....get this feature also working for the new outlook version and make your users happy. Thanks.

Totally agree, the loss of drag & drop from the new Outlook to browsers like SharePoint is a big productivity hit. It was a seamless part of many workflows, and having to use desktop workarounds slows things down. Hoping Microsoft brings this essential feature back soon!
