Meeting series disappeared in organizers calender
Roland_Taschler For us it's cached and online in the Outlook client. I have my users managing their calendars via OWA.
- TiffanyC2145Jul 30, 2024Copper ContributorYes, that's what we're seeing as well. It's only if the event is created in the Outlook client. If they created it in OWA - no problems. But having users manage two different systems, with OWA having way less functionality than the desktop client, is absolutely ridiculous.
- Roland_TaschlerJul 30, 2024Copper ContributorI perfectly agree. did you try the trick with unplugging the network cable and replugging. We could see, that this was working immediatly. while befor when creating 6 test appointments in calender every time 2 remained and 4 dissappeared, after unplugging and replugging the network cable, it worked for some time. (from 2 hours to 2 days).
- TiffanyC2145Jul 30, 2024Copper ContributorWe did as part of the troubleshooting process originally. The first user who reported it was hammered with cached/online, reboots, our users are hybrid so they're routinely changing networks etc. The problem is it's hard to tell if it's a "fix" or if it's just because the problem is intermittent.

No Not really. we also tried to login a user which has the issues to a computer of a user wich has never complained about this error. The issue was stil present. Also trying to log on to a fresh setup computer the issue was still present. For now it seems to be a problem of those users/Mailboxes.
As already stated
It does not only affect meetings or meeting series, but also simple calendar appointments. When they are created on outlook Desktop app in cached mode, those appointments are not synched to the mailbox (not showing up in outlook on the web or on the phone) and then they disappear from local outlook and ends up in local Failures Folder under Synchronization issues.
the only workarounds we currently have, is:
- Change from Cachemode to online mode
- Unplug and replug the network cable. This solves the problem for some time. From 2 hours to 2 days.
